Required from September 2021 we have a permanent teaching position in either our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 team. This position is suitable for NQT’s and teachers on the main pay range.

Freeman Community Primary School is a successful, happy, caring community of 210 children in the village of Stowupland, near Stowmarket. We are part of the Children’s Endeavour Trust as one of seven primary schools across the Stowmarket and Ipswich areas. The Children’s Endeavour Trust allows for opportunities to network with colleagues in different schools to support professional development for all staff across the Trust.

We are looking for inspirational and outstanding teacher who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated to teach within our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 team starting in September 2021. There are 30 children in our classes and the successful candidate will be supported by a teaching assistant each morning. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on the leadership of a subject (Excludes NQT’s). Please specify areas of interest or expertise in your supporting statement.

  • is passionate about teaching and learning and is able to motivate and inspire pupils and colleagues
  • is an outstanding practitioner with a good understanding of the essential characteristics of effective learning and teaching
  • will deliver creative, inspiring and enriching learning opportunities
  • will set high expectations and standards for all children
  • will work in a team and form positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents. 
  • will lead a curriculum subject (to be negotiated)

Freeman Community Primary School Governor Vacancies

Did you know that you don’t have to be a parent or member of staff to be a school governor?

School governors are also drawn from the local community and come from all walks of life.  Freeman Community Primary School is looking for a Trust and a Parent Governor from the local community to join our governing body. The successful people should may have no existing ties to the school. If you have an interest in education and can commit to one evening (Thursday) six times a year and occasional visits during the school day, we’d be very pleased to hear from you to discuss the role of a governor further.

No prior knowledge is necessary; a comprehensive range of training and support is provided. It’s an exciting opportunity for you to:

  • contribute to the community;
